Can you believe it? It’s officially spring, and Quarter 1 is closing at the end of the month. What a journey it’s been! I’ve been so happy and proud to be involved in these amazing communication and marketing projects this quarter:

🟧 I kickstarted the year with a new project — writing an ESG report (Environmental, Social, & Governance) for a client in the flower industry. I’ve previously worked with this client writing their 2021 ESG report, and I’m happy to say we’ll be collaborating again.

🟧 I wrote a news piece on AI for a client in a technical field. This was fascinating as I got to interview techies and research how AI is used when it comes to the inspection of buildings. I learned so much about drones and machine learning and how tech can help improve the situation for those working in this field.

🟧 A client in the ingredients industry asked me to ghostwrite thought leadership stories for their CEO. I travelled to Antwerp to interview the CEO. This was the highlight of Q1 for me as I could have a change of scenery and meet new and interesting folk! I love playing the corporate journalist role!

🟧 I conducted various comms-related activities for a client in the non-profit sector — everything from writing/designing their monthly newsletter to compiling their Annual Report. I also trained one of their employees in creating Mailchimp newsletters.

🟧 I was contacted by a client in animal nutrition to conduct a copywriting course for an employee in marketing/communication. This is a course that I regularly tailor-make to the needs of marketing/communication teams. It’s aimed at those whose mother tongue isn’t English and who want to improve their persuasive writing skills.

🟧 For the same client, I helped transform their technical literature into powerful landing pages to target stakeholders in animal nutrition. I also supported their communication/marketing team in re-writing various documents to make them more impactful.

🟧 I learnt a lot about the logistics industry and wrote several updates for internal communication purposes for an existing client. I also wrote HR announcements to be used internally and created a style guide to help their team better define their brand tone of voice.

🟧 To market my English writing services, I was featured in a new promo video for my company WordWorx — created by Carlos Flores:

📆 At the beginning of March, I signed up for a stand at the upcoming IamExpat Fair (22/04) in Amsterdam (come and say hi!). During Q1, I produced marketing materials I’ll use at the fair to promote my career writing services and courses for non-native English speakers in marketing/communication.

📆  I’ll close Q1 by attending the Ad World Conference next week.
